Houseboat Management
Old West Marine Services is the largest Houseboat Management company at Wahweap. We specialize in managing all aspects of multi owner boats by providing the following:
Annual boat managers meeting to discuss prior season performance, management strategies for the boat, experience with various upgrades, legal issues and the like.
Attendance at annual houseboat meetings to review the past season for that boat, assist in the setting of the budget (if requested) and provide information about the Lake Powell scene.
Annual maintenance of the houseboat, the key to saving vacations. We have developed comprehensive annual service protocols based on the manufacturers recommendations. When we first started we would change the oil in the outdrive and call it good, we would then spend the rest of the summer chasing problems..no more. We have few cases of breakdowns...not zero, it is, after all, a boat.
Summerize the boat and ready it for the season
Turnaround between owners
Coordinate the arrival and departure of each owner
Check on/off
Pilot in and out of the slip, to or from the courtesy dock
Pump/fuel/water
Cleaning
Preventative maintenance check
Propane
Winterize the boat at the end of the season
